The second installment from Springbank's Glengyle distillery launched in June 2010.
-Distilled at Mitchellʼs Glengyle Distillery, in Campbeltown
-First distilled on 25th March 2004.
-Kilkerran Single malt is lightly peated, double distilled, not
chill-filtered or coloured and bottled at 46%abv.
-2010 release of 18,000 bottles worldwide.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Light and fragrant, the nose leads you into the dram gently. Refreshing lemon citrus, hints of pear and just a dash of sherbet.
Palate: Masses of sweet vanilla immediately take over the tastebuds before the classic Campbeltown salt hits the tongue. Creamy toffee and butterscotch become apparent as the natural oils coat the mouth.
Finish: Gentle smoke comes from deep in the throat followed up by very pleasant ground spices.
