1. Choose a whisky

All the Tartan Drinks whiskies have been aged in ex bourbon oak casks (unless otherwise noted) and are matured to their optimal potential. These whiskies are our own range of independent bottlings and have been matured and bottled in Scotland by Single Malts Direct from casks containing spirit produced at the named Distillery. The spirit is different from the Distillers branded product.

Tartan Drinks only offer the finest Single Malt Scotch Whiskies. These spirits have not been chillfiltered or coloured prior to bottling, they remain natural and unaltered retaining their unique character from the cask. The whiskies are bottled and labeled in Huntly, Scotland before being shipped worldwide.

2. Design your label

Using the Label Designer Application

Our online label designer is easy to use and will help you create a custom label to fit your needs by following these steps. Once the designer loads,

• Select a background tartan theme
• Upload a photo or select a graphic
• Choose a mask shape for your photo
• Enter a title message for top of label
• Enter a custom message or tag line
• Preview the label up close
• Click submit when finished

Its as easy as that.

Bespoke Design

Label Regulations

As our whisky is produced and bottled in Scotland, there will be required text found on the bottom of each label. This includes the bottle volume (i.e. 700ml), alcohol by volume percentage (i.e. 43%), traceability URL (www.tartandrinks.com), country of origin (product of Scotland), and both a named distillery and age statement, if applicable. These details are required for customs and export regulations and as a result may not be changed or removed.

User Responsibility

Uploading images that violate copyright laws will not be permitted. This includes brand names/logos, professional or celebrity photos and basically anything of which you do not own the rights.

Tartan Drinks will not permit offensive or abusive images or language used on the label design. We will not process the order, but will request that you redesign the label before we proceed.

3. Payment

Tartan Drinks only sell alcohol products to those over the age of 18. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or the minimum legal age for purchasing alcohol in your country of residence eg: 21.

Our rates of exchange are set each day by our payment provider, Worldpay, and are updated every 24 hours at 00.05am UK time.

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse through our whiskies, click on the item that you wish to buy. After you design the label (explained above) the item will be placed into the shopping basket using the Single Malts Direct.com shopping system. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we require to process your order. We accept online credit card payment. If you are shopping from outside the UK, please simply follow the standard process to place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction into your own local currency.

We accept, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Solo, JCB and Maestro payments through our secure payment gateway Worldpay. If you do not wish to provide your credit card details “online”, you may also send your card information by telephone, fax or regular mail. Please have your order details available when you contact us.

All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

4. Delivery

Tartan Drinks, through Single Malts Direct, partners with Parcel Force Worldwide as our logistics provider. A unique identification number will be provided by e-mail when your order is despatched to allow you to check the status of your delivery at any time via the Parcel Force Worldwide online tracking service.

Please note that although we ship products to many countries around the world, certain countries have restrictions regarding the supply of products containing alcohol. For this reason, we dispatch goods to some countries entirely at the risk of the customer and, although we maintain proof of shipment from our carrier (Royal Mail Parcel Force) and provide a tracking number by e-mail for each shipment, we unfortunately, cannot guarantee delivery to certain worldwide locations.

Please contact us if you wish to check the delivery regulations/status regarding the country in which you are located prior to placing your order.

Customs

Please note that although we ship products to many countries around the world, certain countries have restrictions regarding the supply of products containing alcohol. For this reason, we dispatch goods to some countries entirely at the risk of the customer and, although we maintain proof of shipment from our carrier (Royal Mail Parcel Force) and provide a tracking number by e-mail for each shipment, we unfortunately, cannot guarantee delivery to certain worldwide locations. Although we have yet to experience any problem after all these years of shipping!!!

5. Quality and Service 

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Guarantee

We guarantee your satisfaction. Any complaints will be promptly dealt with by our Customer Service Team. Please check all goods carefully on receipt for damage or breakage. It is important that any problems are documented when signing for your package(s) on receipt. This will aid any relevant insurance claim. Any complaints should be directed to customerservice@singlemaltsdirect.com.

Returns Policy

If products received are damaged we will arrange for a replacement product to be sent or, alternatively, reimburse you (including delivery costs) provided you inform us of the problem within 7 days of receipt. Where possible, please document any damage when signing for receipt of the product.

If you are unhappy with a product, for a reason other than damage, please inform us within 7 days and arrange for the product to be returned to us in good condition in its original packaging. We will then reimburse you for the cost of the product (excluding delivery cost.)

6. Terms and Conditions

Privacy Policy

Tartan Drinks and Single Malts Direct do not disclose buyers' information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option.

Data collected by this site is used to:
