One of the great things about buying Lagavulin online is you don’t ever have to try and say it, like some other Islay distilleries we’ve heard Lagavulin pronounced many ways over the years. In truth if you pronounce it as it’s written you won’t go far wrong, and not going far wrong is something you’ll also do if you actually buy Lagavulin whisky.

One of the Scotland’s oldest distilleries, it was founded in 1816 by John Johnston, its position on the southern shore of the island of Islay is envied by many. The Lagavulin distillery is a distinctive building, Victorian in age its brilliant white washed exterior, twin pagodas and high chimney are a real landmark along this ocean battered coastline.

As you might expect Lagavulin bottlings are generally peaty, with a smoky character associated with Islay single malt whisky. Lagavulin distillery takes its water from the Solan Lochs in the hills above it.

Owned by Diageo the bottlings are surprisingly limited, so we’re delighted to offer the following Lagavulin bottlings:
