The Practical Diftiller: Or, A Brief Treatise of Practical Diftillation

About

This book is a reproduction of the 18th Century Practical Distiller, which is one of the earliest written works on the subject. Originally printed in 1718, the book would have provided invaluable information for the practical distiller of the time - a time just prior to the Industrial Revolution and a period of history known as the Enlightenment.

The book looks at the distillation of whisky or malt spirit in the first engine stills of time, later to become part of the Industrial Revolution as distileries mushroomed throughout Scotland. Part two looks at the creation of flavoured spirits to include Gin (geneva) and Brandy and also an interesting array of other falvoured spirit products.
