Jim McEwan is something of a living legend in the whisky industry. The head distiller at the wonderful Bruichladdich distillery on Islay this wonderful looking collection consists entirely of handpicked whisky, from distilleries other than Bruichladdich. Jim McEwan's Celtic Heartlands range deliberately stands out from the crowd; these are not standard bottlings, nor are they simply tired, old, out-of-balance single malt whiskies. These stimulate the mind with their amazing complexity and originality.
